A Day in the Life

Adventure Itineraries run from Wednesday – Sunday

  • Get up early
  • Morning routine
  • Check-In with group. How is everyone feeling today?
  • Set SMART Goals for the day. Goals are: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time Specific
  • Review curriculum
  • Read
  • Stretch
  • Meditate
  • Journal
  • Review the plan for the day
  • Breakfast prepared by students
  • Brush teeth/morning hygiene
  • Safety briefing/more information on day’s adventure
  • Lunch prepared by students
  • Group Session
  • Group may be led by a guide or another student. Sometimes Groups are fun and light. Other times students use the space to explore deep and complex issues, or draw out important themes of the day​
  • Reading/Journaling/Letter Writing/Structured personal activity time
  • Dinner prepared by students
  • Nightly Meeting
  • Check-In with group
  • Review SMART Goals
  • Feedback for leader of the day
  • Recognition of what when well during the day
  • Go to bed

Base Days are Monday - Tuesday

  • Cook family style
  • Individual therapy
  • Group therapy with therapists
  • Clean & prepare gear for the next week
  • Life skills class
  • Yoga and fitness
