Jeffrey _Calderon_ProfilePure Life Adventure is proud to announce the hire of our first Costa Rican therapist.  Psychologist, Jeffrey Calderon will officially join the team as primary therapist at Pure Life the first week of March.  Jeffrey is excited to rejoin his home team after learning more about the adventure therapy milieu.

“Jeffrey’s return to Costa Rica is highly anticipated. Jeffrey is a seasoned therapist with over 15 years of experience as a clinician. He has gained valuable industry experience in Utah. Jeffrey brings the Costa Rican culture to the clinical team and adds depth to our clinical experience.”

Jeffrey is a passionate scholar-practitioner in the field of clinical psychology with experience in clinical practice, training and consulting. He specializes in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other evidence-based treatments with young adult clients struggling with emotional, behavioral, and adjustment issues. Jeffrey graduated as Psychologist from Ludwig Maximilians University of Munich, Germany in 2006.  In Germany, he developed research programs for gifted students and talent development plans for young adults. In Costa Rica, Jeffrey developed leadership programs for young adults in Costa Rica and Panama. He also served as Academic Coordinator at the Universidad Latina in Costa Rica Psychology Department. For the past twenty years Jeffrey has worked in an outpatient setting both in individual and group therapy.

Jeffrey’s areas of clinical focus include neurodevelopment disorders including learning differences, autism spectrum disorders, trauma related issues, addiction, anxiety and depression. He is a tremendous asset to Pure Life Adventure, and we are excited to welcome him home.
